"From embroidered dresses to fashion revolutions: how the history of Ukrainian women's fashion and style reflected her search for independence"

On April 18, 2024, an integrated history lesson with the involvement of modern digital technologies was held at the Kamianets-Podilskyi Lyceum with enhanced military and physical training, in which students of the 10-A grade under the guidance history teacher Lesya Hryniuk and assistant of the Department of World History, head of the educational laboratory "Didactics of History" of the Ivan Ogienka Kamianets-Podilskyi National University named after Iryna Pigovych, created their own historical comics on the topic: "From embroidery to fashion revolutions: how the history of Ukrainian fashion and style women reflected her search for independence." The sketches reveal the fate of four outstanding Ukrainian women known for their active social, cultural and political activities, namely: Olena Stepaniv, Olena Teliga, Alla Horska and Lina Kostenko. The comics created by the tenth-graders show the vyshyvanka not only as an element of national dress, but also as a symbol of freedom and indomitable Ukrainian spirit. This approach helped to better understand historical events and analyze the actions of famous Ukrainian women, activate cognitive activity and engage critical thinking.

The held event is the result of cooperation and constitutes a joint innovative scientific and methodological project, during the development and implementation of which there was an exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of STEM education.
